Who am I?

I'm Steph Burn, a commercial pilot who started my journey with gliding at the age of 14, followed by achieving my PPL in 2008 at the age of 20.

I gained experience in different aviation roles including as Cabin Crew, as Air Med Ops and eventually with a sponsorship whilst I worked in Cargo Operations before finally achieving my Commercial Pilots Licence and Instrument Rating (CPL IR) in 2016.

I flew cargo in a British Aerospace ATP (J-61) before transitioning to flying passengers in the A320 family of aircraft.

What's my experience?

I have both UK and EU pilot licences, operated from 6 different bases and have lived and worked in the UK and Germany.

I started the Pilot Training Mentoring group on Linkedin in 2025 when I was sending the same messages to the young people I was mentoring individually. Therefore, I created a group to introduce a few aspiring pilots to each other and to help others too.
