If you have access to a loan or equity, include the amount below.

  • use a loan at the end of your flight training, not the beginning.
  • The ME-IR course and final exams are the most expensive so a loan is productively spent towards the end for a pass.

Financed Amount (Loan size) £0
Payback Term (Years) 5 Years

Monthly Loan Repayment: £391
⚠️ Alert: The monthly loan payment exceeds your affordable monthly training budget. Consider increasing the payback term or reducing the loan amount.
✓ Affordable: Your monthly training budget comfortably covers this loan repayment with room to spare!
ℹ️ Repayment Note: Since your payback term is 30 years or more, please consider re-assessing repayments and increasing the loan repayment immediately when earning a pilot salary!
Estimated Training Timeline
Estimated Total Training Duration: ~3.6 years
Comparison: Typical integrated schemes take 1.5–2 years, but lock you into £110,000+ debt from day one.
ℹ️ Timeline Note: Assess your budget to ensure this career choice is for you. It's also ok to do a PPL as a hobby and not fly commercially.

Will modular training benefit me?

Yes! If you have a budget, modular training lets you split the cost over time. Finance is not required (typically half the cost of integrated training).

You can choose where and when you train. Modular training takes longer but there are scholarships available.
