Pilot Training Mentoring · Last updated 02/06/2026

Welcome

Pilot Training Mentoring exists to support aspiring pilots, aviation enthusiasts and aviation professionals through learning, mentoring, networking and the sharing of experiences. Our goal is to create a positive, supportive and professional community where members feel comfortable asking questions, sharing knowledge and helping one another succeed. By participating in our website, webinars, discussion groups and community activities, you agree to follow these guidelines.

1. Be Respectful

Treat all members with courtesy, professionalism and respect. Members come from different backgrounds, countries, cultures and stages of their aviation journey. Everyone should feel welcome to participate without fear of ridicule or hostility. Constructive discussion and respectful disagreement are encouraged. Personal attacks are not.

2. No Bullying, Harassment or Discrimination

Bullying, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, hate speech, threats or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. This applies to all interactions, including:

  • Website communications
  • Webinars
  • Discussion groups
  • Social media interactions connected to the community
  • Direct messages relating to Pilot Training Mentoring activities

Members who engage in such behaviour may be removed from the community without notice.

3. Represent Yourself Honestly

Be truthful about your experience, qualifications, employment and affiliations.

Do not:

  • Claim qualifications you do not hold.
  • Misrepresent your flying experience.
  • Falsely imply employment by an airline or organisation.
  • Present yourself as an official representative of a company without authorisation.

Usernames and profile information should not be misleading.

4. Protect Your Privacy and the Privacy of Others

Think carefully before sharing personal information online. Do not post in any webinar, in any of the community groups or on the website:

  • Personal addresses
  • Telephone numbers
  • Identification documents
  • Financial information
  • Medical information
  • Information belonging to other people without their consent

Members are encouraged to exercise good judgement when sharing personal details.

5. Respect Professional and Confidential Information

Many members work, train or volunteer within the aviation industry. Please do not share:

  • Confidential employer information
  • Internal airline documents
  • Proprietary training materials
  • Examination content where disclosure is prohibited
  • Sensitive operational information

If in doubt, do not post it.

6. Keep Discussions Relevant and Constructive

Pilot Training Mentoring is intended to support aviation learning and career development.

Members should aim to:

  • Ask genuine questions.
  • Share useful experiences.
  • Offer constructive advice.
  • Support fellow members.

Repeated disruption, trolling, inflammatory behaviour or deliberately misleading information may result in removal from community activities.

7. No Spam or Unauthorised Promotion

Members may not use the community primarily for:

  • Advertising products or services for sale
  • Unsolicited recruitment
  • Repetitive self-promotion
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Spam messages

Reasonable sharing of relevant aviation opportunities or resources may be permitted where appropriate.

8. Young People and Safeguarding

All members are expected to support a safe environment for younger participants. Members must comply with the Safeguarding Policy and maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times. Any behaviour that raises safeguarding concerns may be investigated and may result in immediate removal from community activities.

9. Follow Moderator Instructions

From time to time, moderators may intervene to maintain a positive and productive environment. Members are expected to comply with reasonable requests from moderators relating to community conduct, safeguarding, privacy or operational matters.

10. Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches these guidelines, please report it using the contact details provided on the website. Reports will be reviewed fairly and confidentially where possible.

11. Enforcement

Pilot Training Mentoring reserves the right to:

  • Remove content.
  • Restrict participation.
  • Suspend access.
  • Remove members from groups, webinars or community activities.
  • Permanently ban users where necessary.

These actions may be taken where behaviour is considered harmful to the community, inconsistent with these guidelines, or contrary to the values and objectives of Pilot Training Mentoring.

12. Our Shared Goal

Aviation is a profession built on learning, teamwork, integrity and professionalism. By participating in Pilot Training Mentoring, you help create a community where aspiring pilots and aviation professionals can learn, grow and support one another in a safe, respectful and encouraging environment.
